As announced in this morning’s September Mini Budget, Chancellor of the Exchequer Kwasi Kwarteng has stated that stamp duty has been permanently cut, effective from today.

Stamp duty will not be paid on the first £250,000 of a property’s value, extending to £425,000 for first-time buyers, according to the live update feed posted by The Guardian:
