Melissa Edwards
Head of the Property Department & Director
Melissa Edwards is a solicitor in the Property Team and qualified as a solicitor in 2017. Melissa joined the firm in 2018 and is experienced in dealing with all aspects of Residential property transactions. She strives to provide a professional and friendly service to all her clients and believes communication is key when assisting people with their property transactions as these can be stressful at times.
Gemma Stobbart
Conveyancer
Gemma joined Oakwood Property Solicitors in November 2020 and has seven years of experience dealing with property transactions, including complex remortgages, transfers of equity, staircasing, sales and purchases. She is a Graduate CILEx member and is currently working towards Fellow status. Gemma prides herself on being friendly, approachable and keeping clients updated.
Beverley Gray
Conveyancer
Beverley qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer in 2018 and is part of the Property Team. She has around 10 years’ experience dealing with all aspects of conveyancing. Beverley offers a personal, professional approach to Clients and strives to make the conveyancing experience as stress free as possible.
Saskia Irwin
Trainee Solicitor
Saskia joined Oakwood Property Solicitors in 2021 after completing her A levels at St Aidan’s Sixth Form. She is currently undertaking the Solicitor Apprenticeship where she is studying her law degree (LLB) with BPP University and will qualify as a Solicitor in 2027. So far Saskia has gained a wealth of experience in the Residential Conveyancing team and now uses that to provide her clients with a helpful and efficient service.
Gemma Atkinson
Paralegal
Gemma is currently studying with Cilex Law School to qualify as a Chartered Legal Executive and has worked in law firms since 2014, starting as a receptionist/legal assistant before joining Oakwood Property Solicitors as a Conveyancer in 2022. Gemma understands that conveyancing transactions can be stressful so believes that good communication is key to ensure that the process runs as smoothly as possible. She aims to provide a professional quality service to all clients.
